Box Fox (A.K.A.: Box Fox) resides in Columbus, Ohio, and
has been writing published fiction for over three decades. In 1987, he
published TLAR & CODPOL: two novels by Robert Fox,
(December Press). Fox also writes and performs blues, and
has released a CD, titled Primary Blues, which is available
on the web at theorchard.com
-- two pieces may be sampled. Fox is also the literature
program coordinator for the Ohio Arts Council, and the founder of
Carpenter Press.
Of his "sudden fiction" (or "short-shorts") work
he offers: "My own attempts were inspired by an unlikely mix of writers:
Saroyan, Babel, and Borges. The Midwestern University Quarterly, by the
way, published a lot of short-shorts by other writers of that period, some of
whom I haven't heard of in years."
