September 2003: My background is in writing, but in a decidedly
different venue, writing for television news. This type of writing doesn't
exactly spark the literary imagination of viewers, but it gets the job done
and pays the bills. However, my hope has always been that I use what I
consider my zest for writing, to spark some interest and bring pleasure to
those reading my work. It is in this spirit that I give you my first short
fiction entitled "The Disappearance."
