March 2005: I'm a lifelong writer who pens stories in an effort to make sense
out of my life and the world in which I live. I believe strongly in
the captivating power of good humor, and I try to incorporate at
least a smidgen of wit in the stories I write. My first major literary
undertaking was a stage play, The Muddy Death of Vyolet
Synclaire, which I proudly brought to life at the University of
Illinois at Springfield in 1997. Since then I have written a sequel to
this play, a romantic-comedy screenplay, and several short stories.
I have had stories published online at the WriteGallery and
gallifreyone.com, as well as in
Waxing and Waning magazine. Two
of my works of fiction were selected for presentation at the Illinois
Philological Association's 2004 conference. In addition to further
short stories and plays, I am currently preparing a full-length
science-fiction novel, The Totally Gnarly Adventures of the
Galactically Bitchin' Comet Sweat, for publication.
