December 2002: J. Jameson was born in 1951 in Zimbabwe.
She went to the University of Cape Town in 1970,
graduating in English and Drama. She then travelled
half-way round the world through Africa, India, Pakistan,
the Middle East and Europe to settle in England, where she
now lives and works in London. Married to Kevin, with
one daughter, she is a director of lifelong learning at a
university in London. She's been writing poetry since the
age of eight, and particularly likes writing about Africa --
she travels back there once a year at least and misses her
native land.
