March 2005: John Hammink is a teacher, multi-instrumentalist
musician, writer, engineer, and linguist. His poetic work attempts
to explore the intricacies of human relationships as manifest in
language (body/verbal) and perception. After a twelve-year break
from poetry (December Poems was featured on WDET radio in
1992) he performed his short pieces at a variety of venues and
events across the United States, including the University of
Montana at Missoula and with the Cleveland Poetry Slam
team in Ohio. In 2004, he toured Egypt, France and the Baltic
Countries, and plans a return to the States in March 2005.
