December 1997: Maria is twenty-one years old and from Portugal. Currently, she is studying
Medicine at St.Andrews University in Scotland. She did her European Baccalaureate
in the Lycee Francais Charles Lepierre in Lisbon, and says, "I've
always been interested in literature, i.e. poetry." She invites comments on
the poem.
