Sara started writing poetry in college during a creative writing course. "I quickly realized
that it took far fewer lines of poetry to meet the requirements than the number of words for
prose." She's since continued writing poems about "such profound subjects as getting a job,
the mortgage process, and more recently watching my son grow up. Obviously, Emily
Dickinson I'm not."
