October 2001: I studied creative writing at Drake University. in the Eighties, under the
direction of Ruth Doty, Mark Doty, and Perry Glasser. While studying there, I
published in two volumes of the university's literary publication,
Periphery. I am head chef in the kitchen of my poetry where I blend,
whip and puree language in an attempt to lure readers for a meal in the diner
of my imagination. Recently, I've had poems accepted here at The
WriteGallery, as well as Whistling Shade, The Dead Mule School of
Southern Literature, Prairie Poetry, 3rd Muse Poetry Journal, and Beatnik.
I hale from Iowa where they do strange things with corn.
