In 1999, Shiva Nourpanah is twenty-something, married, and lives in Tehran, Iran. Shiva has an
M.A. in English literature from Tehran University, and a B.S. in Mathematica and
Computers from Amir Kabir University in Tehran. "At the moment, I am working as a
part-time translator in a private company, and also as an English teacher for first-year
university students in a small university in Tehran." Shiva has been writing English
poems since the age of sixteen. " Nobody has seen or judged any of my poems
though, and I would welcome comments and criticisms very much."
