Clichés are clichés because they are painfully true. One of the most "painfully true" cliches describes life as "a rat race". But wouldn't life be a breeze, if we could move through it at a walking pace. Instead, we are all destined to struggle and strive, and therefore we must run, sometimes with ease through meadows filled with daisies.
