Dancing In the Cage

his cage of consciousness
a cage of consciousness
traps him.
he listens to the music outside of his prison,
dances to it
thinks, i am happier here,
where i may hear the music
and dance to it with reason,
because i am saddened and imprisoned
whereas, outside, it would be but another
of many a long, monotonous, shadow-tune
