He Is Fully Human But It Wouldn't Seem So
Must be pushing sixty, in dance shoes
Shirt tail hanging out, nice velvet button up
Spiff hair do, lots of gell
"Hey," I ask, "Where are the girls?"
"Don't know," he says, "Look under those rocks"
He points toward the canal and I see no rocks
But I watch him flick his cigarette
No one wants to share the love here
It must be the Sun
Then the manager says, "You are being too friendly to the guests"
"I guess so," I say, "I guess so"
He then motions for me to leave
"You talk too much to people," he moans
"You talk way too much, doesn't make sense
People don't want to be bothered"
I walk away thinking how people either want or do not want
That is the sum of their existence
And on my shoulder a bird lands and I feel like I am in a movie
There are too many cars to drive here
There is too much water to drown innocent folk
