Blue And White Light

Ride the gentle tide at night
Shimmer the water, doth the suns first rays
Building blue and white lights to ignite the nights

Oceans glimpse towards nature in their flight,
That free fall deep for the prey when they
Ride the gentle tide at night

Vessels scuttle diverse in plight
Fisherman's sails remain until ends of days,
Building blue and white lights to ignite the nights

Swelling waters, raging seas to heights
Lift loose seabeds, therefore, along the bays
Ride the gentle tide at night

Brave vessels jostle out to sea tight,
Homeward bound on spells to again array
Building blue and white lights to ignite the nights

'Tis the great oceans mouth that begets fright
To those who have vanished in their way
Ride the gentle tide at night,
Building blue and white lights to ignite the nights

Author Notes

"Blue and White Light" was written about my experiences at my beach house on the south coast of Western Australia, in a town called Busselton. The poem depicts what I see from the porch of my house.
