Tears
I shed tears for the broken homes, I
know the hell they are.
I shed tears for the victims who fall to the
deceptive life in the bars.
I shed tears for my shame, too weak to keep
the world that raised me from being lost.
I shed tears of sorrow for tomorrow
knowing we will still be false.
I shed tears for us, as humans, when we can
live in luxury while others starve in vain.
I shed tears to know we let hate and jealousy
leave our dreams dead in the rain.
I shed tears for those who kill in the
name of religion.
I she tears for those who let ignorance,
of what God really is, make their decisions.
I shed tears to ease the pain of this bruised
and guilt-stricken heart.
I shed tears forever in the knowledge
we will never make a fresh start.
