Invisible Lore
Durlabh Singh

The Shadows

The cities of plains
Now bleached with rain
Amid ruins and streets
Walking the shadows frail.

The loneliness of the wind
The howls in dittied strains
With cindered slow gait
Surging the shadows strange.

New shadows to ordinations
New gallows at each step
Weaving a shadowy yarn
In strangled napes & bereft.
