As thousands of devastated people flee the World Trade Center;
Our American Heroes dedicated to protect and serve - Opted to enter!
Determined to save innocent lives; no consideration for their own.
But the building crumbles; so many heroes gone.
God Bless our heroes -- that lost their lives that day.
For strength, love, and commitment each of them portrayed.
Special men and women that united for us all;
Became fallen heroes -- by answering the call!
