Open Your Heart For Me
Tri Ngoc Tran
[tritran5555@yahoo.com]
Open your heart and let me in,
For it is so cold in the wilderness;
The stars have gone to bed,
Their flamboyant lights, extinguished.
I long to listen to your arteries and veins;
They hum tunes that, gently, rock me to my dream.
I yearn to taste the sweet nectar on your lips
Every time you kiss me when the sun sinks into the cyan sea.
Open your heart and let me in,
Winter is so cold and the snow is biting me.
The wilderness has no one, but dead leaves
That mourn in their own language.
I, a poet, who has nothing but a penny to give.
