Feb 16, 2005: The form for Guestbook entries has been getting hit lately by some untolerably obnoxious messages by a spambot. Until I have added code to stop spambots from taking advantage of this page, I am closing the addition of new entries. I do not care for my visitors to see the obscene messages that of late have been about as bad as they can get.
Some new, legit messages may have been deleted out. Some jackass robot program screwed the code up for the page and I had to use a back-up from Feb 3. I apologize if any legit messages are gone because of the unscrupulous misadventures of internet slime.

Too much to grok in a first pass-through. Literary overload. I've bookmarked the site and added to my bazillion-strong collection of interesting and wonderful things, which means it is lost for all time, short of a miracle. But, I count on the miraculous to see me through the day. Thanks.

Not too sure what all that pipe-dream stuff on the blog has to do with the rest of the site, but, I saw some fiction and poetry in the site proper that was pretty good.

Really sorry about the spammers and hackers. I've seen them kill, or essentially kill, decent sites. I am not into theater. First time I've seen virtual chapbooks. I think they work well and are friendly to this ancient W98 machine. How I found you was searching for info on Bob Fox, whom I met face to face and hand in hand yesterday in our boondocks land of Union City. Plan to return as the wind blows. Sure hope this site survives the spammers blight.

I'm sorry to see that you are going on such a long break (re: the announcement about such on "From K.L.'s Desk"). I always look forward to the quarterly updates. There are always a few wonderful gems in both the poetry and the fiction sections. Looks like something exciting is happening for K.L.. Can't wait to find out. I look forward to the new work when that starts happening again. Good luck to K.L. on whatever this "artisitic venture" is....

not a bad site. I did find much of the work to be rather parochial, but I enjoy the concept of introducing budding young artists. someday this site may expose a true master of the craft.

I'm not going to make a habit of signing this guestbook, but I have to comment on the signing by "John the baptist." It's cheap and cowardly and the mark of a little boy -- or maybe a little girl. WG has lots of very fine work, by 99.9999% non -professionals admittedly, but the work here is good work. Much, if not most, is very good, and some of it is damn excellent! Ultimately it's probably one of the best literary web sites out on the web, even if it's not one of the most popular. And though K.L.Storer didn't make a big deal about it, the site just celebrated its sixth birthday, which is an unusual achievement for lit sites on the web. There are other criticisms in this guestbook which are presented with class and an air of adulthood. It's too bad that anonymous cowards like this person I am writing in answer to exist on the web. But, they do. Ironically, I believe he or she has the right to do what was done, and should never lose the right -- but I have the right to attack the attitude and tactic, and I'm gonna! That person also had an opportunity to practice discretion and diplomacy, behaviors apparently foreign to his or her nature. -- Anne

You have a nice site here, but the "young" writers pitch is a bit deceptive. At any rate, keep up the good work, even if some of the language is a bit rough for younger eyes.

Decent ezine. From the Summer issue I highly recommend the story "Galileo in the Library." For Mr. Dee, who also signed this guestbook, your hunter poem is really inventive. the owl one is really a bunch of nonsense bits strung together to look like a story. But the first poem is pretty good.
