Air Bubble


Join in the fun
it calls to me.

Stretching
towards me.

I turn,
but it follows.

Attached.

Afraid of its face
I scream.

They think
I want it.

It comes closer.
I try to bat it away.

They think
it's a game.

I don't want
to play.

It's there
next to me.

Attached.

I jab and claw it.
It explodes.

It's remains
fall to the floor.

Shock.

I jump.

They jump.

It's gone.

Bowled Over


Tenpin

It hits
the curve
and spins.

Rotating.

Aligned
with the arrow
five boards in,
it clips
the pocket.

Smash.

Flying everywhere
across the lane.

The final one
wobbles.
Refusing
to fall.

Left.
Straight.
Right.
Straight again.

One shot
Rolls.
Like a bullet
collides.

Then it falls.
Hitting the wood.

Next Frame.

Curve:	The point on the lane when the ball begins to spin back in towards the pins.
Arrow five boards in:	The lane is made up of lots of individual boards. Where the ball goes on the lane depends on what board and arrow (markings on the lane)it travels over once it has been released.
Pocket:	The space between the first and second pin and also the first and second pin. If the ball hits the pins within this space, the player is more likely of gaining a higher pin fall.
The wood:	The lane.

Waiting To Be Worn


Abandoned and trapped in the darkness
With only a slight chance of parole
It hangs there
waiting to be worn.

Discarded years ago
Forgotten
with changing fashion.
It hangs there
waiting to be worn.

Surrounded by others
All trapped
But separated
by plastic and metal moulds.
They hang there
waiting to be worn.

A musky air encircles them
Some begin to lose their grip
and fall
The others?

They hang there
waiting to be worn.

Light engulfs them
And slowly
they are all removed
They lie there
waiting to be worn.

Each one
for the briefest of moments
is adorned.
one is chosen
the others are re-hung
and locked away
waiting to be worn.
