A Bucket for My Silence

I went to the ocean today
In order to chase after the sun
I built a castle made of sand
When the tide was out
In order to create my masterpiece.
I left it there for the others
But it was finally swept away
I went to go surf
When the tide was in
In order to ride the wave where it takes me.
But I crashed up on the beach
Leaving me in a breathless disarray
When I looked up to see
It was as the sun were now mocking me
I stuck my tongue out in hate
But my tongue was burned at the taste
I went to the ocean today
In order to chase after the sun
And I left only with
A bucket for my silence
And a pail for my remorse.
