Fear

There is no fear in the water
A place where the sun is always iridescent
The moon lays lucid behind the stars
The tall blades of grass cut through rays
and whisper past sands
And the sea turns up its earth forever
The cool waters lap up to welcome new feet
The jellyfish bob, slow motion in the wake
They will soon swim to a sandy death on shore
To be stepped on, gawked at, sand upon sand
But there is no fear in the water
The busy stars fight for attention
And the sea turtle sneaks in for the night
There is life and there is bitter death
But fear is far from the water
The moon will point to the sea its new
course
The sea horse prances on coral plains
But emotion is foreign, emotion is far
Emotion is not found in the water.
