Poor Tooth

Have you heard of fortunate Cinderella
that said she lost her shoe?
Dear kid, I must tell you the truth,
what she really lost was her tooth.
But the author didn't want to write
the cruel truth that I will tell you now:
One day, when she was a little girl, she fell down
from a cow and since that terrible day. . .
(I don't know if I may say. . .)
And what the prince found that night
wasn't really her shoe, it was her tooth.
And the prince went to prove that tooth
on 1,000,000 mouths, tell me that isn't cruel
with the tooth that changed Cinderella's life
Poor tooth she left upstairs that night
Poor tooth that didn't know the teeth rights
Poor tooth that no one remembered on the wedding day
Poor tooth that didn't receive a piece of cake.

In my work I try to view things in another way and I write them. I am not the one who
writes; the situations tell me, "please write about me," and I do it. What can I
do? Who can say "no" to a situation that wants to be written?
