Sea of Birds

Andrew Jones

I stared above the Holland skies, and saw a Sea of birds in waves of black. Biblically apocalyptic it appeared, and I became frightened by what I thought was God's wrath descending on our withering world. How strange, what I was seeing, strange because this was nothing I had ever witnesses before. Something would happen suddenly that would prove what I was seeing. The sun that was once still and motionless, at least from my eyes, began to drip its fire across all the lands of our planet. The sky as suspected from the stories of my ancestors has come true.
