love in secret private places
where no-one knows
the love that flows
a glass of glowing ruby wine
within this bright and secret flat
to dance around and drink and laugh
a sunshine bath of secret love
this shining love
shining in a student flat
amongst these scattered books and tapes and underwear
a secret, private place
a secret, laughing face
so far away and yet so near
we pass it every day
a thrill of fear
which no-one knows
my secret love -- and no-one knows his name
can recognize his face
he is immune
we're on the moon, the earth is far away
no people to connect
this sunshine flat upon the moon
a street away
this magic door, which opens on the moon
no-one to hear a secret gasp of joy
no-one to ride this flying star
my shining sweet deceit
breaks through my every day like every day
