Tides in the moons lunar glow
Kyle Allbright
[allbright.3@wright.edu]
Metal and glass temples rising for the monks of capitalism
running into metal birds we call airplanes
The moon doesn't influence the tides
it influences minds.
The moon grows capitalism
like the sun feeding flowers
Gaining energy from food
light and water
from the genetics of humanity and
lunar glow
Artificial light makes cold, warm again
in the form of a sun we build
around Russia
Building an engine to influence the tides
Laughing as we pass Jupiter
Laughing as we pass Jupiter
Waving as we pass Neptune
Waving (good-bye) we pass Neptune
and we'll cry as we pass Pluto
As
The Black Hole steals our light
around Russia.
We'll cry, we left the moon behind
causing the death of lunar glows
And the tides will crumble capitalist temples
as the devil makes his bets in his coal chamber
Making his bets with a silver spoon
Making his bets with Persia
lost and forgotten kingdoms of yesterday
selling them back to Jesus
as he makes peace with Jesus
on a handshake and a Cuban cigar
The devil will make peace with Jesus
as humans abstain from light
to perish in the black hole
for we cried so loud when we passed
Pluto
we forgot to save the moon's lunar glow.
