So much talk about War.
This way -- that way about War.
War.
This is not a concept or idea.
It's war.
The premise of a war is that the people of one group of people go against the people of another group of people and try to kill the majority of each other's people until one of the people don't have enough of their people to keep on fighting against the other people so that the people with the most people win.
Now inside this people's war is skin that can be pulled off faces like overcooked marshmallows, clear shot to the chest of someone's perfect love partner, ears being cut off to keep in a jar to show the kids and lots of people without people.
It's war.
WWI, WWII, Korea, and Viet Nam are fading fast. Yet the Rolling Stones are still on tour.
As we consider a war in Iraq, let us remember that the premise of a war is that the people of one group of people go against the people of another group of people and try to kill the majority of each other's people until one of the people don't have enough of their people to keep on fighting against the other people so that the people with the most people win.
I'll tell you what folks. If you've got to fight, then fight. If you don't have to, don't.
War.
The Ultimate Challenge.
Life and Death.
As we consider a war in Iraq, let us remember that the premise of a war is that the people of one group of people go against the people of another group of people and try to kill the majority of each other's people until one of the people don't have enough of their people to keep on fighting against the other people so that the people with the most people win.
Honor and duty. In the Corp and to the all those that do and do not serve but get it.
We all understand and will be there if needed.
As we consider a war in Iraq, let us remember that the premise of a war is that the people of one group of people go against the people of another group of people and try to kill the majority of each other's people until one of the people don't have enough of their people to keep on fighting against the other people so that the people with the most people win
If we are ready -- Fine -- we're ready. If not, why not just step out on the porch and look at the challenge together.
Damn this air is clean and good.
Sit your self down.
Want some wine?
No difference.
Anyway, let's just sit back and look around with the dogs up front and the horses out back,
Ok -- now how is this much different from what you folks know from Egypt and Israel?
All the animals are in cages.
What do you mean -- all the animals are in cages? They are not free like birds in Israel!
What birds in Israel?
We're not talking about birds. Were talking about slavery.
Dogs and horses are not slaves. Are you saying that birds in Israel are like dogs and horses and slaves? Dogs and horses can't fly.
Birds can fly. Dogs, horses, slaves are another matter.
What do your mean dogs, horses, and slaves are a "another matter?"
It's "another matter."
What do you mean it's another matter?
Trust me. It's "another matter."
You're telling me that birds, dogs, horses, and slaves are an "another matter?" And no one can fly?
Wait, wait, I say.
Everyone ignores me.
And then I say:
As we consider a war in Iraq, let us remember that the premise of a war is that the people of one group of people go against the people of another group of people and try to kill the majority of each other's people until one of the people don't have enough of their people to keep on fighting against the other people so that the people with the most people win
Anybody want some wine?
By now, all agree.
In the break, the dogs are playing out front, the horses are head- down happy grazing on new mown hay, and the sky has a million points as all see separately. And someone just sits back and asks at that moment:
"Can't we just figure this whole god-damned thing out right here on the porch -- OK?"
And they do.
With the right leadership, we did it before and we can do it again.
Congratulations President Carter on your Nobel Peace Prize.
You and your family deserve it.
God Bless America.
