           What Beauty

           Eugene Lifshits
           [r0me041@hotmail.com]

What beauty is there in a shadow,
           Especially one I've never met,
What beauty is there in a day dream,
Which I haven't quit seen yet,
For if I am to meet you,
Please let this moment come soon,
For I'm dying of excitement as if still stuck in the womb.

Author Notes

I wrote this poem for a girl who I was supposed to go on a blind date with. This girl had heard that I write poetry and wanted a sample, but even after reading this poem she never did go out with me.
